'Big Brother 10' Casting is Finished

'Big Brother 10' Casting is Finished

Scheduled to premiere on July 13, Big Brother 10 has already completed this season’s final cast. Big Brother casting director Robyn Kass announced on her MySpace account that the final list of housemates has already been agreed upon and CBS have already notified the chosen finalists. Now that the casting is over (although viewers wouldn’t know the identities of the finalists until July), the reality series fans should first remember few things. Last season, there were a lot of claims from people saying that they are going to be in the Big Brother house. All of it turned out to be full of lies. The actual finalists of course, are in agreement with CBS to not to reveal anything until the season premieres.

Since there’s nothing much to do except wait for the season premiere, it would just be fitting to review what CBS has learned for the past couple of seasons of casting Big Brother.

Older House Guests are Advantage

Evel Dick and Sheila of the past seasons were good for the show. Despite of their ages and their gap with the other house guests, the two were able to advance far in the game (Evel Dick even became Big Brother 8 winner). It would be cool if this season of Big Brother will also include more mature house guests.

No for the Young and Dumb

The two housemates that could be immediately remembered when the subject comes up are none other than Natalie and Amber. Fans even commented that the two did not deserve any screen time on national television. Dumb people add twist in any reality series but as we all know, there are levels of being dumb. And so as people’s tolerance. Natalie and Amber are just plain unbearable, not to mention annoying.

Big Dudes are Boring

Appearance is obviously a big factor for Big Brother when choosing their cast. But selecting guys with muscles wouldn’t be enough. There are lots of reality series, if not most of them, that include men with muscles to be able to gain more viewers but turned out to be just plain boring in the end, for failing to add more character in the shows.
