Skin allergies are allergic reactions that affect the skin. Contact dermatitis, eczema, and hives can be types of skin allergies.
Chemicals are the usual cause of contact dermatitis. Two examples are poison ivy and self-care products. With poison ivy, the reaction to a plant chemical may not develop for 12 to 48 hours. A poison ivy reaction may cause redness and swelling, blisters, and severe itching. Chemicals in cosmetics or lotions may also cause skin problems. The symptoms may occur right away, or take a few days to develop.
Moles
Surgery is one method of removing moles. But this method is only done where cancer is a reasonable concern. Another reason for excision is cosmetic appearance. This method like any other kind of surgery leaves some scarring, which actually defeats the purpose particularly when it is done for cosmetic appearance. Smaller moles can be "shaved off". Larger ones may be excised in stages by taking a little more each tine until the entire mole is removed. This method is called "serial excision".
Hives
Hives are swollen, pale red bumps or patch on skin that crop up suddenly. The essential oil of chamomile is an excellent first choice to treat hives, but if it's too expensive or you don't have any on hand, you can turn to an essential oil that decreases inflammation, such as lavender. The fragrance of either lavender or chamomile oil can also be very calming to someone who feels that they are going to go mad from the itching.
Dark Circles
Getting enough sleep and relieving stress can eliminate dark circles under your eyes. If you're living the typical busy life: staying up late, getting up early, working hard, and playing harder, the dark circles under your eyes can easily be a symptom of exhaustion and stress. Make sure you're getting the needed 7-9 hours of sleep a night and taking some time at least once a week to do something relaxing, just for yourself, and those dark circles should get better in no time.
Pimples
Small red swelling of the skin is known as pimples. Pimples are small pointed elevation of the skin; it may or may not be containing pus. You should wash your face with fragrance-free cleanser. If your skin is greasy then use cleanser that contains benzoil peroxide. You never use crub because it can cause breakouts.
Sunburn
Keep your skin cool to reduce your sunburn .As soon as you realize you've toasted your skin jump in a cool shower or gently wipe down with a cool washcloth or a cold compress. Don't use soap (or use as little as possible if you have too), because soap will stip your skin of its natural oils, which are essential to healing your damaged skin. Stay out of direct sunlight, wear light clothing, and continue rinsing or soaking with cool water to get rid of your sunburn as fast as possible.
Dry Itchy Skin
Avoid the use of tap water when cleansing dry skin. The deposits are too drying on the skin. Use mineral water to freshen your face. Don't use a washcloth-a rough texture can irritate. In the morning, apply a spray of mineral water on your skin. Lightly pat dry.
Dry skin needs plenty of thorough but gentle cleansing, regular stimulation with massage and generous quantities of oil and moisture. It also needs extra careful protection.
