Is Master-Minding For You?

Is Master-Minding For You?

The Master-Mind principle was first utilized by Andrew Carnegie many years ago in what we know as the Industrial Age in America as he put together a group of approximately 50 men for the definite purpose of manufacturing and marketing steel. He felt so strongly, that he attributed his entire fortune and success to the power he accumulated through this “Master Mind”. While Carnegie was the first to use a “Master Mind”, it was Napoleon Hill who brought the idea to millions through his book “Think and Grow Rich” with its first copyright in 1937.

“Master Mind” in his book is defined as the coordination of knowledge and effort, in a spirit of harmony, between two or more people for the attainment of a definite purpose. In his book, Napoleon Hill speaks of two characteristics of the Master Mind principle.

One is an economic advantage, which relates to the advantages of multiple individuals coming together with each giving advice and counsel regarding a particular topic. Economic advantages are possible due to the group taking the best ideas and then moving forward with these ideas.

The second is a psychic phase which relates to when two minds come together, a third invisible and intangible force is created which is likened to a third mind. As the human mind is a form of energy, partially spiritual in nature, the spiritual units of energy of each mind form an affinity creating the psychic phase of the Master Mind.

More simply, the Master Mind principle supports the concept that the combined energies, intelligence and power of two or more like-minded individuals is far greater than the sum total of their individual energy, intelligence, and power. A Master Mind group consists of two or more individuals who meet on a regular basis in an atmosphere of trust and harmony with a purpose to provide mutual support and encouragement.

Today the term “Master-Minding” is commonly used when a group of individuals with similar interests get together and discuss topics of mutual interest. Many will later speak to enhanced relationships among the individuals present, more clarity or wisdom in terms of various topics discussed, and a higher level of peace and trust towards life and the future.

So how does one gather a Master Mind group to reap the benefits of a well-conceived and carefully executed plan? Simply find one or more individuals who have similar interests who are able to join together to discuss topics with a definite purpose in mind. The purpose may vary from providing enhanced value to your customers, to methods of growing your business, or an endless list of other topics. The end result will be the same – a greater number of creative ideas, better plans, improved organization, and an enhanced relationship among the participants. This end result will be greater than the total of what the individuals could singly accomplish by themselves.

If this topic is somewhat new to you – who doesn’t remember the old saying “two minds are better than one?” Master-Minding goes one step further and will assist you in achieving your desired success.
