Jose Reina Happy in Liverpool

Jose Reina Happy in Liverpool

The keeper Jose Reina has exposed at the Liverpool’s Champions League clash with Inter that he has no intentions of leaving the Reds of Liverpool in the near future and that he will like to stay for the time that the club requires him.

The Spaniard player Jose Reina has been a total rock and great keeper while arriving from Villarreal, breaking records in loads, and becoming the fastest keeper in Liverpool’s history to carry on 50 clean sheets.

Jose Reina has indeed gained respect and has became a total hero for his penalty blocks against West Ham in the FA Cup final and Chelsea in the Champions League semi-final. Reina confesses he loves Liverpool life and that he is enjoying every minute with the Reds.

“I'd like to stay at Liverpool for a few years as I'm very happy and glad to be playing for one of the best teams in the world. We have a very united dressing room. We like to go and play golf together and to spend time together away from the pitch, like going out for dinner. It's an incredible privilege (to defend The Cup). I feel very secure when I defend that cage. It's as if the visiting team were attacking uphill,” Reina alleged.

Reina determination is looking for a third successive clean sheet when Liverpool bid to preserve a 2-0 with Inter this Tuesday, although Reina stated to his team-mates that one goal will and could change everything.

“We know it's not going to be easy. They've won 2-0 plenty of times for a start, and they only need to score one goal to make it a lot harder for us. Of course I think we can win the Champions League. You can't win it every year, but every time you play in it you have that sense of promise and hope.”

The effort is the key to Liverpool’s expectations of shielding their lead; this will certainly help. Javier Mascherano’s work can stop the attacks from the opponent. Mascherano has quickly forged his reputation as one of the top defensive midfielders in Europe but the team has a respect for him and his teammates and coaches trust that he could do great things for the team.

The Argentinean player is never timid of sliding in for a undertake or a tackle, but Mascherano persists it is pointless to rule out such a challenge to prevent injuries like the recent one suffered by Eduardo. However; he ensures he will do the best he can and he hopes also each of his teammates will do.

“I try to run parallel with my opponent and then slide in and hope to come out with the ball. The timing of the tackle is everything. I never try to kick other players. When I do tackle, I never go to hurt, I never try violence. Okay, sometimes I commit a foul if the tackle is mistimed, but it is never with intent. I am calm in my head and when I tackle I don’t tackle from behind.”
