It is a very gloomy time for many local firms of estate agency. Even though many local firms are fighting to change to address their businesses. You can also see across the high street that many firms, that may be caught with old habits, are finding it very difficult to adjust to the current market. I will the purpose of this article looks at the changing landscape for the estate agency business, basing my experiences on estate agents in Eastbourne.

Estate agents have been a common sight up-and-down the high streets of this country. Estate agents are often that window where people in town like to walk up and down the high street to have a look to see what types of properties are available within a certain price bracket. As with the local property papers it is one of those markets where people enjoy having a browse, in some cases they dream of the type of home that they would like to live in.

But where once you'd walk up and down the high street and be able to look into a number of windows to see properties available. Now you find yourself looking across at a for let sign. Some estate agents in Eastbourne have managed to adapt to this market by cutting costs and changing the emphasis of their business. In many cases this may prove to be the making of these firms in later years.

A big part of your will not have too much sympathy for the firms that close, as indeed antiquated business practices and their relaxed approach has meant that estate agents have indeed been given a tough time in the press over recent years. It is also true that in many towns there are far too many estate agents and the culling if you like, of these antiquated firms may not be no bad thing.

What we are all hoping to see is that not only the Strong survive, but they change in how they operate their businesses so that we the customer can benefit from improved and more efficient service. Looking at estate agents in Eastbourne we concede that they have never worked so hard to ensure that communication is of the utmost importance and every property they have on their books is to be marketed and not left to chance.
