Natural Cures for Constipation Relief

Constipation is one of the most common digestive grievances. Constipation means a person has three or fewer bowel movement in a week. Causes of constipation can be dietary, hormonal, anatomical, a side effect of medications (e.g. some painkillers), or an illness or disorder.

Drinking lemon juice mixed with warm water two to three times a day eases constipation. One or two teaspoons of aloe gel can be taken two times a day. Daily intake of guava with empty stomach in the morning is greatly beneficial.

Carrot juices contain certain oils that work on the mucus membranes of the stomach and colon. This helps with digestion and starts your bowels functioning properly. Carrots are high in fiber and beta-carotene, an antioxidant, which the body converts to vitamin A. Carrots can make your stools softer and larger.

Drink carrot juice twice daily, once in the morning and in the evening before bedtime.
You can drink more carrot juice if you like. Its action on the body produces enormous benefits since it contains a good number of vitamins and minerals – B, C, D, E, K, carotene, sodium, and potassium. These nutrients help to clean out your colon and speed up fecal matter movement.
Wheat germ oil: rich in inositol, which enhances metabolism of fats, thereby reducing excretory burden on skin; contains pyridoxine, which enhances peristalsis and thus improves digestion and assimilation of nutrients and elimination of wastes; 1-2 tsp. daily, after meals; may also be rubbed directly onto skin eruptions.

Carrot juice combined with spinach juice gives immediate relief from constipation. Vajrasana is one of the yogasanas salutary for curing constipation. Orange is also advantageous in the treatment of constipation.

Drink aloe vera juice to balance intestinal flora and to mitigate constipation. Mix 1 cup tomato juice, 1/4 cup carrot juice, and 1/2 cup sauerkraut juice and drink. Sunflower seeds are filled with health-giving properties and have also been known to elevate regularity. Eat a handful of shelled, raw, unsalted seeds every day.

A glass of fresh carrot juice. It takes about 4 to 5 medium size ones to get me one glass of juice. I drink it immediately so that oxidation does kill all the nutrients. After many years of suffering IBS-C, you know your body and sometimes when I feel I need extra ammunition for the 'C' part, I drink about 100ml of prune juice.

Take 2-3 seeds each of sunflower, almonds, sesame and linseed or flax seeds, crush it finely and make a thin powder. Eat this natural herbal homemade product (1 tablespoon) for a week moreover with fruit juice or salads. All your constipation problems will be healed.

Raw cucumbers are rich in potassium, sodium and phosphorus, which neutralize blood acidosis; potent diuretic properties, which facilitate excretion of wastes through kidneys, so that they need not be purged through skin; also good for nails and hair; in raw bulk, or as juice, mixed 1/3 cucumber to 2/3 carrot, 2-3 pints daily.

Add 2 tablespoons of Apple Cider Vinegar into an 8 oz glass of water, and drink this combination thrice a day. The Apple Cider Vinegar can also be mixed with apple juice or grape juice to make it tastier.
